A viking idea By Aidan Codd

("It is two wolves; and he that runs after her is called Skoll; she fears him, and he shall take her. But he that leaps before her is called Hati Hródvitnisson. He is eager to seize the moon; and so it must be." -Prose Edda
Fenris-Wolf or Fenrir is of course the most well-known wolf in Norse mythology. Freki and Geri are wolves that belong to Odin. Hati Hródvitnisson and Sköll are two other wolves mentioned in the Prose Edda.
Odin (Old Norse Odhinn, Anglo-Saxon Woden, Old High German Wodan, Woutan), in Norse mythology, king of the gods. His two black ravens, Huginn ("Thought") and Muninn ("Memory"), flew forth daily to gather tidings of events all over the world.
Odin, father and ruler of the Norse gods, always wore his golden helmet and carried his magic sword. His two ravens, Huginn ("Thought") and Muninn ("Memory"), bring him news from all over, and his two wolves, Geri ("Greedy") and Freki ("Gobbler") wait at his feet.

Boar

Gold-Bristle and Fearful-Tusk are boars of Freyr mentioned)

This is some research that I did on Norse mythology that help give me the idea behind the characters and possibly their names.
The story itself has not changed but the names are slowly appearing as well as locations and characters.  The story is that Hero’s duty is to guard Midgard from evil, but he gets overpowered by the bad guy who releases the giants all over the world. As punishment by the god Odin the heroes mistake he must go out form Midgard and travel the  world getting back the giants that have escaped. He will be accompanied with a Boar who swore to give his life to the gods for sparing him many years ago.
The hero will be one of Odin's Wolves, and the accomplice is a boar.

Midgard
The defensive fortress which the gods build about the middle portion of the earth allotted to men in order to protect mankind from the giants. Midgard ("middle world") is on the same level as Nidavellir (land of the dwarfs), Svartalfheim (land of the dark elves/dwarfs) and Jotunheim (the land of the giants).

When I was looking into the Vikings I came across a myth, this helped me gathered the idea for the Vikings back story. I don't have a name for my Viking character, so for the time being he will just be called hero, the same applies to my villain so he will be called the bad guy and the same for the Sidekick who will be classed as sidekick.

The story is that Hero’s duty is to guard Midgard from evil, but he gets overpowered by the bad guy who releases the giants all over the world. As punishment by the gods for heroes mistake he must go out form Midgard and travel the  world getting back the giants that have escaped. He will be accompanied with a dark Elf who swore to give his life to the gods for sparing him many years ago.
