Today I started looking at the idea of having a machine cranked animation. The idea was that the post card would move and become a little box. After talking with Phil I am now looking at keeping the old idea and new by having a three phase presentation, Phase 1: the 2D post card , phase 2: 2 ½ D postcard, phase 3: 3D model, then reverse back to phase 1 of the 2D post card or leads onto the next image. The You tube videos gave me the inspiration for the new idea.
